Like the special editon Deathadder from last year, this limited edition Razer Atheris is coloured bright yellow. The red highlights on the scroll wheel and side buttons are back as well. It also comes with a print of the iconic creature’s face. Special print and colourway aside, it performs similarly to the regular Razer Atheris.
As for the reason why this special mouse is stuck in China, you’d probably think that it’s a special licensing deal with The Pokemon Company or something like that. For what it’s worth, Tan cites “trademarks and all that legal stuff”. While not mentioned, it’s likely the same reason why the previous set of Pikachu-themed peripherals was also restricted to one country. This special Razer Atheris comes with a price of CNY499 (~RM294). Tan says that if you’ve got friends in China, you could ask them to help you get one of these.
